Day 14 (12/3): The leaders spend the day sailing to Zanzibar, whilst the final three teams arrive in Dar Es Salaam and sail there overnight. The leaders arrive at night, find a kiosk and the Solve It/Schlep It Detour, then head by taxi to Kikungwi Village for the Rungu RoadBlock, and to Stone Town to the Pit Stop at Ngome Kongwe.

Day 15 (12/4): The trailing teams arrive on Zanzibar and complete the same tasks before and around dawn (...and Teri/Ian are eliminated). Extended Pit Stop on Zanzibar.

Day 16 (12/5): Throughout the day, teams depart from the Pit Stop and have trouble getting to their next location - Warsaw, Poland.

Day 17 (12/6): The four lead teams arrive in Warsaw in the morning and find a Chopin lookalike at Czapski Palace, who gives them the Perfect Pitch/Perfect Angle Detour. They then head to Lazienski Park and perform an edited-out RoadBlock involving the Palace on the Water, before going to the nearby Pit Stop. After a 12-hour Pit Stop, Dustin/Kandice depart before midnight, as the trailing two teams arrive in Warsaw...

Day 18 (12/7): ...to perform the same tasks (...and Joe/Bill are Marked For Elimination). After their Pit Stops, the teams head to the Polish Heroes of Resistance Monument to claim tickets for a charter bus to Auschwitz, arriving at night. They light a candle at the train tracks and head to Krakow for an Intersection, and either the Stair-counting Fast Forward (Oswald/Danny; Uchenna/Joyce)...

Day 19 (12/8): ...or the Eat It Up/Roll It Out Detour (all other teams). After completing either task, they head to Skala for the Horse-leading RoadBlock, then to the nearby Pit Stop at Pieskowa Skala Castle (where Eric/Danielle arrive last, but Joe/Bill are eliminated). A 24-hour Pit Stop.

Day 20 (12/9): Teams start Leg 9 with the instruction to fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Teams connect through various locations...

Day 21 (12/10): ...and arrive in KL the next morning. They take trains and buses to the Batu Caves, then taxis to the Kampung Baru Mosque, where they encounter the Artistic Impression/Cookie Confection Detour. Teams are then directed to find a newspaper recycling truck in a nearby neighbourhood, for the Newspaper-gathering RoadBlock, then go to the Pit Stop at Carcosa Seri Negra (where Uchenna/Joyce are eliminated when they finally arrive).

Day 22 (12/11): Extended Pit Stop in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 23 (12/12): Teams start Leg 12 and are directed to fly to Hong Kong. When they land, they take taxis to Sun Wah Kiu Dry Cleaning & Laundry in Kowloon City, and perform either the Car Stunt Fast Forward (Oswald/Danny) or the Kung Fu Fighting/Lost In Translation Detour (Other teams). Detour-completing teams then take the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island, then taxi to the abandoned Kennedy Police Headquarters, where they encounter the Kick Down Doors RoadBlock. They then continue to Victoria Park to pull a gnome across a pond, then drive themselves to the Pit Stop at the Hong Kong Jockey Club (where Eric/Danielle are Marked for Elimination.)

Day 24 (12/13): Teams start Leg 11 by taking the ferry to Macau and finding a man with a rickshaw. He directs them to find the tallest structure in Macau – Macau Tower. When it opens, Oswald/Danny Yield Eric/Danielle at the request of Dustin/Kandice, and teams complete the SkyJump RoadBlock. Teams take taxis to Coloane (although it isn't shown) for a fish carrying task, then to Lou Lim Ioc Gardens, where they encounter the Noodle/Dragon Detour. Teams travel to a nearby street to pick up Mini Mokes, and drive them to the Pit Stop at Trilho Da Taipa Pequena 2000 (where Oswald/Danny are Marked For Elimination).

Day 25 (12/14): Teams begin Leg 12 and are directed to fly to Guam. They arrive that evening and wait overnight at Andersen AFB.

Day 26 (12/15): When they are allowed to enter, teams are given a military escort to an ATC tower, which they climb to get the Care Package/Engine Care Detour. Although it isn't shown, teams drive to the War of Pacific Historical Park at Asan Bay. They then go to the Visitor Center at the US Naval Base, and get a Naval escort to the next clue – the GPS RoadBlock. Teams then drive to the Pit Stop at Fort Soledad (where Oswald/Danny are eliminated).

Day 27 (12/16): Teams depart on the final leg and are directed to fly to Honolulu, Hawai'i. Teams make it to Tokyo…

Day 28 (12/16 again due to the Date Line): …and arrive the next morning. They take taxis to Kamaka Air and sign up for charter flights to Lanai'i. When they land, they drive to Kamalapau's Harbor for the Under/Over Detour. They then perform the Cliff Dive RoadBlock (nut it isn't shown), and drive to Shipwreck Beach, hiking along the beach, then kayaking out to the Shipwreck. They are directed to fly to Oakland, California.

Day 29 (12/17): Teams arrive and find the house where the Grateful Dead lived one summer (again, not shown), then to the San Francisco Mint for the Snark With Your Partner task. Teams then take taxis to the Finish Line in the Botanical Gardens (where Eric/Danielle "win"; Dustin/Kandice comein 2nd, and Charla/Mirna finish 3rd.)

Post  raceguy120390 Sat Jan 12, 2008 8:53 pm

SEASON 11, LEG 13 – TIMELINE

December 16th, 2006
After a 24-hour Pit Stop in Guam, teams depart on the final leg of the race as follows:

11:53am – Dustin/Kandice
12:55pm – Eric/Danielle
1:29pm – Charla/Mirna

Teams are directed to fly to Honolulu, Hawai'i, over 3800 miles away.

Dustin/Kandice travel on a Northwest flight at 3:50pm, connecting through Tokyo, Japan, and arriving in Honolulu at 7:40am.

Eric/Danielle and Charla/Mirna have to take a flight to Tokyo departing half-an-hour later, and connecting to the same flight to Honolulu.

In Tokyo, Charla/Mirna work their way onto a United flight to Honolulu, arriving at 7:00am, 40 minutes earlier. (now that's the kind of Airport Shuffling I like.)

December 16th, 2006 again because of the Date Line
The teams arrive in Hawai'i. They are directed to tae a taxi to the Kamaka Air Hangar (site of TAR6's hideous sky-dive RoadBlock), and sign up for one of three charter planes that morning to Lanai'i, the only remaining major Hawaiian island not visited by TAR. Teams arrive at Kamaka Air and sign up for charters:

9:00am Charter – Charla/Mirna
9:10am Charter – Eric/Danielle
9:20am Charter – Dustin/Kandice

In Lanai'i, teams are told to drive three miles to Kamalapau's Harbor. They arrive there:

1) Charla/Mirna
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Dustin/Kandice

And encounter what will hopefully be their last:

Under <--DETOUR--> Over

ever.

Teams selecting UNDER must take a boat to (an area near the entrance of) a nearby underwater cave. There, they must swim under the rocks to their next clue.

Teams selecting OVER must take a boat to a nearby inlet. There, they must each successfully stand on a paddleboard, and then paddle the board to a nearby buoy to retrieve the next clue.

Originally, Dustin/Kandice are the only team to choose UNDER, but Eric/Danielle switch after seeing Mirna struggle to stand on the paddleboard. (Yay, a Bald Snark for the tally!)

Teams finish their chosen task:
1) Charla/Mirna
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Dustin/Kandice

Teams are now shown with directions to return to shore and drive themselves to Shipwreck Beach.

However, they actually get the clue for their (hopefully) last-ever:

ROADBLOCK

The chosen (well, forced) team member must walk up a path with jagged rocks to the top of a cliff, and perform a cliff dive. The forced RoadBlocker finishes:

1) Danielle
2) Mirna
3) Dustin

They now get the clue really directing them to Shipwreck Beach. When they arrive, they must walk one mile along the beach to the cluebox. Teams arrive at the beach:

1) Charla/Mirna
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Dustin/Kandice

They finish their hike:

1) Eric/Danielle
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna

(But they're all so close together that it doesn't really matter.)

And discover that they must choose a kayak and paddle out to a buoy near the shipwreck. They have trouble getting to the buoy, but finish:
1) Eric/Danielle
2) Charla/Mirna
3) Dustin/Kandice

The clue tells them to fly Oakland, California. They must first return to Honolulu by helicopter.

All three teams get the same flight to Oakland on ATA departing at 11:55pm that night and arriving at 6:57am the next morning.

December 17th, 2006
The teams arrive in Oakland, and take taxis to the Old Mint in San Francisco, arriving:

1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Charla/Mirna

There, they learn of their:

FINAL TASK FINAL TASK FINAL TASK

(Oh, you come up with something better without using pictures.)

In which one person must enter a vault and answer the four questions displayed on the wall with the names of a team on the race, and use the corresponding numbers to set the combination for a safe containing the last clue. Then, the other team member must enter the vault and guess the combination. If correct, they may take the clue and leave. If incorrect, they must try again. Teams have either as many times as is necessary to unlock the safe, or until ten minutes has expired, whichever comes first. The four questions are:

a) Which other team is the least trustworthy?
b) Which other team has the best sense of humour?
c) Which other team is the most overrated?
d) Which other team is the one you most want to stay in touch with?

The first team member enters the vault and answers the questions as follows:

1) Dustin – Rob/Amber (but changes this answer to Joe/Bill); Uchenna/Joyce; Rob/Amber; Uchenna/Joyce
2) Eric – Oswald/Danny; Charla/Mirna; Rob/Amber; Uchenna/Joyce
3) Mirna – Rob/Amber; Kevin/Drew; Rob/Amber; John Vito/Jill

Their partner finishes:
1) Danielle (on her third guess)
2) Kandice (after her ten minutes had expired, and two minutes after Eric/Danielle had left)
3) Charla (after her ten minutes had expired)

They are directed to take a taxi to the Botanical Gardens, the finish line for this craptacular season.

Teams arrive at the finish line:

1) Eric/Danielle
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna

SEASON 11, LEG 12 – TIMELINE

Money Given: Not Stated (damn it), but probably around $100-$130.

December 14th, 2006

The final four teams leave the Pit Stop overlooking Macau as follows:
2:15am – Dustin/Kandice
2:50am – Charla/Mirna
3:06am – Eric/Danielle
4:37am – Oswald/Danny

Teams are directed to fly to Guam, an American colony in the South Pacific, which (apparently, according to this episode) has a lot of military but nothing much else.

They must first return by ferry to Hong Kong, and do so:
3am Ferry) Dustin/Kandice
4am Ferry) Charla/Mirna; Eric/Danielle
6am Ferry) Oswald/Danny

The three leaders all fly Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong to Tokyo-Narita, then Continental to Agana, Guam arriving 9:50pm that night.

Oswald/Danny are unable to make the Cathay flight, but manage a later flight (help?), arriving with a VERY small connection in Tokyo, to get on the same flight as the others.

Teams get to marked cars outside the airport:
1) Oswald/Danny
2) Charla/Mirna
3) Dustin/Kandice (who went to the wrong parking lot)
4) Eric/Danielle (who went to the wrong parking lot)

Teams are directed to drive nine miles to Andersen Air Force Base, and have to wait for it to open at 7am (Doesn't Guam need defending at night?).

December 15th, 2006

When it opens, teams are given a military escort to take them to an air traffic control tower, which they must climb the stairs of to get their clue. They get to the cluebox:

1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Oswald/Danny, who pass Charla/Mirna on the stairs
4) Charla/Mirna

The cluebox contains a:

Care Package <-- DETOUR --> Engine Care

Teams selecting CARE PACKAGE must walk to a nearby "warehouse", fill a box with 500lbs of essential supplies for locals on outlying islands, board it and themselves onto a C-17 cargo plane, and perform a combat drop, dropping the goods at an island for a military relief effort (Operation Christmas Drop?), and will get their next clue when the plane lands.

Teams selecting ENGINE CARE must walk to a waiting B52 bomber, choose an engine pod, and scour it clean until a senior Maintenance Officer is happy. (Ugh. Again with the "Make Me Happy In A Non-Sexual Way, But You'll Get Your Clue If You Make Me Happy Sexually As Well. When will they learn? But at least this one seemed moderately difficult.)

Aside from Charla/Mirna, all teams choose Engine Care. They arrive at their task in the same order that they reached the cluebox, and finish as follows:

1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Oswald/Danny
4) Charla/Mirna

[DISCUSSION OF EDITED-OUT CLUEBOX]

Teams are directed to drive to Asan Bay and find a route marker at the War of Pacific Historical Park (Their English is good so not.)

Oswald/Danny get lost along the way, and so do Eric/Danielle, allowing the BQ's to get a lead.

[/DISCUSSION OF EDITED OUT CLUEBOX]

Teams are now directed to drive 21 miles to the US Naval Base, find the visitor, and have a Naval escort to the next clue.

Teams arrive at the cluebox:

1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Oswald/Danny

The cluebox contains this leg's:

ROADBLOCK
"Who's ready to search far and wide?"

The chosen team member must use a handheld GPS to locate one of four Search and Rescue Training Officers (around Orote Point), who will program directions for a helicopter landing zone into the GPS. They must go there, radio for a helicopter extraction, set off a smoke grenade, and wait to be "extracted". When they return by helicopter to their team mate, they will be given their next clue. (So basically, the task is "Use A GPS".)

The chosen team member finishes:

1) Dustin
2) Danielle
3) Charla
4) Oswald

Teams are directed to drive 11 miles to Fort Soledad, the Pit Stop for this leg.

Teams arrive at the Pit Stop:
1) Dustin/Kandice, who each win an ATV
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Oswald/Danny, who are eliminated before the penalty is counted (sniff).

Post  raceguy120390 Sat Jan 12, 2008 8:54 pm

SEASON 11, LEG 11 – TIMELINE

Money for this leg: $73.00.

December 13th, 2006

After a 12-hour Pit Stop, teams depart from the Hong Kong Jockey Club as follows:

3:41am – Oswald/Danny
5:23am – Dustin/Kandice
7:06am – Charla/Mirna
9:31am – Eric/Danielle (who are Marked)

Teams are directed to find the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Pier, and travel by TurboJet Ferry 40 miles to Macau, a former Portuguese colony on the Chinese mainland. They must find a man with a rickshaw near the Macau dock. Teams take ferries (cost per Oswald/Danny HKD340 – about US$46):

FERRY 1 (4:45am)
Oswald/Danny
FERRY 2 (6am? The sun is rising in Macau when they arrive.)
Dustin/Kandice
FERRY 3 (8am)
Charla/Mirna
FERRY 4 (10:15am)
Eric/Danielle

They arrive at the man and get the next clue from him:
1) Oswald/Danny
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Eric/Danielle

The clue directs them to find "the tallest structure in Macau". Teams must figure out for themselves that this refers to Macau Tower. They must travel there by taxi.

Teams arrive in the same order, and discover (well, the first three teams anyway) that the Tower doesn't open until 10am.

With the clue, they are warned that ahead they will find a:

YIELD
Oswald/Danny come up with the idea to sell their Yield to Dustin/Kandice so that they can get some money (As you'll remember, they ran out last week). They eventually agree on $45.00 (per the Tarflies home page. Thanks, miri (or whoever writes that)!)

Yield discussion continued below.

At 10am, the three waiting teams enter, find the route marker, and pull numbers for a task opening at 11am (Couldn't they just have had the numbers outside and not let them IN until 11am?):

1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Oswald/Danny
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Eric/Danielle

At 11am, the three teams (still not joined by Eric/Danielle) take the elevator to the Observation Deck on the 61st floor, and run to the Yield sign, and next cluebox, arriving:
1) Oswald/Danny, who (at the request of Dustin/Kandice) force Eric/Danielle to Yield.
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Eric/Danielle

In the cluebox, they find a:

ROADBLOCK

The chosen team member must complete a SkyWalk (walking around a glass-bottomed deck on the edge of the tower), and then take a SkyJump 320 metres (660 feet) to the street below. They will receive their next clue when they land.

The chosen team member finishes:
1) Kandice
2) Danny
3) Charla
4) Eric

They are then directed to take a taxi to Lou Lim Ioc Gardens and search for the next clue.

As Dustin/Kandice are leaving, Eric/Danielle arrive (given ferry times, I'd say the RoadBlock took about 30 minutes to complete). They enter, discover they are Yielded again (And Danielle becomes the first person in Race history to be Yielded three times), and get angry with Oswald/Danny, with Eric giving us one of the more (ahem) interesting responses we've seen yet.

Spoilers suggest that there was an additional task in between here and the Gardens. So here's what I can determine from said spoilers:

Teams drive themselves to Coloane, a fishing village on Taipa Island, find a basket of fish, take it to a nearby shop, and hang the fish to dry to get the REAL final clue. The order is not known due to changes between the first two teams' arrivals, but it's safe to say that Hairic and Danihell were last.

Later on, teams arrive at the Gardens:
1) Oswald/Danny
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Eric/Danielle

And encounter a:
Noodle <--DETOUR--> Dragon

Teams selecting Noodle must travel by taxi almost 2 miles to Edificio Fabril Vino Kin (sp?), choose a noodle-making station, use traditional methods to flatten the provided dough and cut it to make two bundles of noodles. They will receive the next clue when the judge determines they have completed the task satisfactorily. (I, personally, hate these tasks when your success depends on some unrelated person's perception).
Teams selecting Dragon must travel almost one mile by taxi to a particular warehouse, choose a dragon head and drum, then carry them three-quarters of a mile to waiting dragon boats on Nam Van Lake. They will receive the next clue when they attach the dragon head top the correct boat. (Much better. But TAR2's "row a dragon boat" task was infinitely more impressive.)

Aside from Oswald/Danny, teams all choose Noodle.

Teams arrive at the location of their chosen task:
1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Charla/Mirna
3) Oswald/Danny
4) Eric/Danielle (as Dustin/Kandice are leaving)

And finish the task:
1) Dustin/Kandice (two attempts)
2) Eric/Danielle (one attempt)
3) Charla/Mirna (two shown attempts, but Insider clips suggest three)
4) Oswald/Danny (who get lost on the way to the docks)

Teams must travel to a particular street one mile away (Thanks for not telling us which street, Phil) and choose a Mini Moke to get the next clue. They arrive:

1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Oswald/Danny

Phil tells us that teams must drive the Mini Mokes to the northern end of Taipa Island, and find the Pit Stop at the Trilho Da Taipa Pequena 2000.

Teams ARRIVE AT THE MAT as follows:
1) Dustin/Kandice, who each win a Yamaha Waverunner (Beats getting another damn scooter)
2) Eric/Danielle
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Oswald/Danny, who are Marked For Elimination (for real this week).

However, because Eric/Danielle were Marked For Non-Elimination, they drop down to third place, fourteen minutes behind Charla/Mirna.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Roadblock Tally
TEAMS RACING:
(5) Charla/Mirna (5)
(4) Dustin/Kandice (6)
(6) Eric/Danielle (4)
(3) Oswald/Danny (5) FFs Used (Twice)
TEAMS PHILIMINATED:
(1) Kevin/Drew (0)
(1) Rob/Ambuh (2)
(2) Teri/Eye-an (3)
Season 11 (All-Stars) Timelines Empty Re: Season 11 (All-Stars) Timelines
Post  raceguy120390 Sat Jan 12, 2008 8:54 pm
11.10
SEASON 11, LEG 10 – TIMELINE
Money for this leg: $88.00.
December 12, 2006
After an extended Pit Stop, teams depart from the Pit Stop in Kuala Lumpur as follows:
12:28am – Dustin/Kandice
1:29am – Charla/Mirna
1:50am – Eric/Danielle
2:19am – Oswald/Danny
Although, the last three teams SHOULD have departed in reverse order, since Charla/Mirna and Eric/Danielle SHOULD have been penalised for taking taxis when instructed to walk. And as we know from TAR's 3 and 4, that incurs a penalty, unless the rule's been changed.
Anyway, teams are directed to fly to Hong Kong.
Although Charla/Mirna return to the Pit Stop hotel (the Hilton Kuala Lumpur) to book flights, all four teams end up booking from the airport.
After a whole bunch of trouble booking flights teams eventually get to Hong Kong on one of three routes:
China Air, direct, arriving in Hong Kong at 11:55am.
Oswald/Danny
Malaysian Air, direct, arriving in Hong Kong at 12:55pm.
Dustin/Kandice
Charla/Mirna
Malaysian Air to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, arriving in HCM City at 11:00am.
Connecting to:
Vietnam Airlines to Hong Kong, arriving in Hong Kong at 3:20pm.
Teams are directed to take a taxi 22 miles to the Sun Wah Kiu Dry Cleaning & Laundry in Kowloon City (remember that for later) to get their next clue. They arrive:
1) Oswald/Danny
2) Charla/Mirna
3) Dustin/Kandice
4) Eric/Danielle
There, they get both a:
FAST FORWARD
(Oh, NOW Phil says there's two.)
Teams wishing to claim it must travel five miles to Kai Tak Airport, where a Hong Kong film is being made. (Hands up who believes that. Now, hands up who believes in the Easter Bunny. No, sillies, put your other hand down first.)
There, they will ride in a stunt car and complete a high-speed stunt course, involving sharp turns and a rollover, whilst having to do absolutely nothing but suit up and sit in the car. The first team to complete the stunt will get the Fast Forward.
(For those of you keeping tally, this is the seventh Fast Forward out of thirteen since the rule change that has been a first-there-gets-it deal. And really, the stair-counting, blood-drinking, and sarcophagus-carrying could also be added to the list. Only the two eating tasks and the plate-smashing have been competitive. This needs to be fixed.)
Oswald/Danny finish the course first and are directed to drive themselves to the Pit Stop, at the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
And a:
Kung Fu Fighting <--DETOUR--> Lost In Translation
Kung Fu Fighting: Teams are directed to travel five miles to the (former) Cheung Sha Wan Police Quarters, and climb up eleven storeys of bamboo scaffolding to the clue at the top, whilst avoiding Kung Fu experts battling on the scaffolding.
Lost In Translation: Teams are directed to travel five miles to 120 Nga Tsin Wai Road in Kowloon City (for those of you who remembered: huh?) and search through hundreds of Chinese signs to find the one which matches a provided photo.
All teams choose and complete Kung Fu Fighting (although Charla/Mirna continue this season's tradition of [double] Bald-Snarking) in the following order:
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Eric/Danielle
Teams are directed to take the Star Ferry from Kowloon over to Hong Kong Island, then take a taxi to another abandoned police headquarters, this time in Kennedy (No wonder people love Hong Kong – no cops left anywhere!).
Charla/Mirna's taxi driver takes them to the ferry terminal on Hong Kong Island, and they take a round trip on the ferry to fulfil the clue requirements. Ferries depart every ten minutes, and all teams take different ferries in the same order as they finished the Detour.
Teams arrive at the Kennedy police headquarters:
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Eric/Danielle
And encounter a:
ROADBLOCK
"Who is ready to break down barriers?"
The chosen team member must kick down doors in the abandoned building until they find a room with their next clue.
The chosen team member finishes:
2) Kandice
3) Charla
4) Eric
Teams are told to drive themselves 5 miles to Victoria Park, find a model boat pond, and pull a model Junk with a Travelo(sh)it(t)y gnome across the pond to get their next clue. If they do what we all want to see and dump the gnome in the water, they have to try again.
Teams arrive and haul ass-gnome:
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Eric/Danielle
Teams are directed to take the Ass-gnomes with them to the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the Pit Stop for this leg. They arrive:
1) Oswald/Danny, who win a trip to Hong Kong (during Chinese New Year).
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Eric/Danielle, who are Marked For Elimination.
Season 11 (All-Stars) Timelines Empty Re: Season 11 (All-Stars) Timelines
Post  raceguy120390 Sat Jan 12, 2008 8:54 pm
NOTE: Uchenna/Joyce completed the whole leg (per interviews – and can be confirmed by background details as Joyce reads their last clue), and are shown as such here.
SEASON 11, LEG 9
TIMELINE
Money given: $131.00.
December 9th, 2006
After a 24-hour Pit Stop, teams leave the Pit Stop in Skala, Poland as follows:
9:48pm (the previous day): Oswald/Danny
Tied: Uchenna/Joyce
2:52am: Dustin/Kandice
3:16am: Charla/Mirna
3:22am: Eric/Danielle
Teams are directed to fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Teams are provided $131.00 for this leg of the race - Eric & Danielle.
Dustin/Kandice head straight to the airport to book tickets. The other teams return to the Pit Stop hotel (the Sheraton-Krakow) and use the concierge (Uchenna/Joyce), the phone (Oswald/Danny), the computers (Charla/Mirna), or none of the above (Eric/Danielle) to book lfights, as follows:
Uchenna/Joyce PLAN this route:
Lufthansa to Munich
Lufthansa to Frankfurt
Malaysia Air to Kuala Lumpur, arriving 6:40am the following day.
However, they miss the connection in Frankfurt and replace the last flight with this:
Lufthansa to Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific to Kuala Lumpur
Charla/Mirna take this route:
Polskie Linie Lotnicze to Warsaw
Polskie Linie Lotnicze to Vienna
Austrian Airlines to Kuala Lumpur, arriving 4:45am the following morning.
The other three teams book this route:
Polskie Linie Lotnicze to Paris
Malaysian Airlines to Kuala Lumpur, arriving 7:25am the following morning.
December 10th, 2006
Teams are directed to travel by train and bus to the Batu Caves, a sacred place for Malay Hindus.
Charla/Mirna and Eric/Danielle go separately to the Putra Terminal by train, then take a bus from there.
Oswald/Danny take the same route, but instead get off at the Central Market, and bus from there.
Dustin/Kandice go to Sentul Lin and then take a bus from there.
Uchenna/Joyce are not shown.
Teams arrive at the caves:
1) Charla/Mirna (around 8am)
2) Oswald/Danny (around 10am)
3) Dustin/Kandice (around 10:10am)
4) Eric/Danielle (around 10:35am)
5) Uchenna/Joyce (hours later)
Teams are directed to take a taxi to the Kampung Baru Mosque and search the nearby area for their next clue. They are warned that there, they will find a:
YIELD
And Dustin/Kandice force Eric/Danielle to Yield.
Teams arrive at the Yield/cluebox:
1) Charla/Mirna
2) Dustin/Kandice
3) Oswald/Danny
4) Eric/Danielle
5) Uchenna/Joyce
In the cluebox, teams find a:
Artistic Impression <--DETOUR--> Cookie Confection
Artistic Impression: Teams are directed to walk a third of a mile to Dawan Lama, and use Batik to exactly duplicate a pattern on a 45-square-foot piece of cloth, then dye it.
Cookie Confection: Teams are directed to walkhalf a mile to Balai Bomba Dan Penyelomat Cho Kit Market, find a marked stall, and search through 600 boxes of Malay cookies to find the only one with a black licorice centre.
Aside from Dustin/Kandice, all teams initially choose Cookie Confection, however, Charla/Mirna Bald-Snark after two hours, and Oswald/Danny break a race record by Triple-Blad-Snarking.
Teams finish a task:
1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Charla/Mirna
3) Oswald/Danny
4) Eric/Danielle
5) Uchenna/Joyce
Teams are directed to take a taxi to Taman Sri Hartamas, a neighbourhood 6 miles away, and find a marked newspaper truck. They find it:
1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Charla/Mirna
3) Eric/Danielle
4) Oswald/Danny
5) Uchenna/Joyce
And encounter a:
ROADBLOCK
"Who's ready for a part-time job?"
The chosen team member must choose a bike and side cart, and search the neighbourhood for locals willing to sell their used newspapers. They are given a Malay phrase (Surat Khabar Lama) to help them. Once they've returned a stack eight hands high (about 6'), they will receive their next clue.
The team member finishes:
1) Kandice
2) Mirna
3) Danielle (whose tire had to be replaced)
4) Oswald
5) Joyce
Teams must travel by taxi 6 miles to the Pit Stop at Carcosa Seri Negra, a mansion used to house foreign dignitaries (Since when are Eric and Mirna dignitaries?), the Pit Stop.
They arrive:
1) Dustin/Kandice, at 12:28pm, who each win a retro scooter
2) Charla/Mirna at 1:29pm
3) Eric/Danielle at 1:50pm
4) Oswald/Danny at 2:19pm
5) Uchenna/Joyce, hours later, who are eliminated.
Season 11 (All-Stars) Timelines Empty Re: Season 11 (All-Stars) Timelines
Post  raceguy120390 Sat Jan 12, 2008 8:55 pm
Season 11, Leg 8 -- TIMELINE
Money for this leg: $233.00.
December 7th, 2006
Teams depart from the pit stop in Warsaw, Poland (after a 12-hour Pit Stop) as follows:
10:54pm (the previous day) - Dustin/Kandice
1:06am - Oswald/Danny (who pass Eric/Danielle, still finishing the previous leg)
2:26am - Uchenna/Joyce
4:50am - Charla/Mirna
1:50pm - Eric/Danielle
3:32pm - Joe/Bill (who are Marked For Elimination)
The first clue directs teams to find the Polish Heroes of Resistance Monument, and claim tickets for one of two charter buses (four hours apart) to the Auschwitz-Birkenau II concentration camp. Each charter bus can take only three teams.
Teams sign up for buses as follows:
BUS 1 (1pm departure)
1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Oswald/Danny
3) Uchenna/Joyce
BUS 2 (5pm departure)
4) Charla/Mirna
5) Eric/Danielle
6) Joe/Bill
That night, when the buses arrive, and apparently after a tour of the site (After a non-elimination, wouldn't the last things the Guidos want to see be gas chambers?), teams find a table with scrolls on it. The scroll reads:
"During the reign of Adolf Hitler, over 1,000,000 people were exterminated at Auschwitz, more than at any other Concentration Camp. It remains standing as a tribute to the people who perised within its walls and to man's ultimate triumph over evil.
A traditional Memorial Candle is on the table, proceed to the railroad tracks and light it."
Teams are also directed to take a moment in silence.
Teams then take a provided taxi to Krakow, and find the Juliusz Slowacki Theatre, where they arrive:
1) Uchenna/Joyce
2) Oswald/Danny
3) Dustin/Kandice
4) Charla/Mirna
5) Joe/Bill
6) Eric/Danielle
And discover the:
INTERSECTION.
Just like last season, teams are told to pair up with another team, and work as a four-person Frankenteam until further notice.
Teams pair up as follows:
Joyce/Uchenna/Danny/Oswald (hereafter referred to as J/U/D/O)
Dustin/Kandice/Charla/Mirna (hereafter referred to as D/K/C/M)
Joe/Bill - Eric/Danielle (hereafter referred to as J/B/E/D)
Teams then encounter either a:
FAST FORWARD
(Note that Phil doesn't mention how many Fast Forwards there are this season, or that this is the first. Even in the past when this has happened [TAR:FE] they edited Phil's spiel to make it appear to be the only one. Anybody know why?)
Frankenteams must travel a quarter of a mile to a nearby town square, and climb both Town Hall Tower and the Fire Guard Tower of St. Mary's Church, counting the stairs as they climb. Once they think they have the answer, they must present it to a waiting guard. If correct, they will receive the Fast Forward award.
J/U/D/O take the Fast Forward, giving the correct answer of (111 + 237 =) 348. They are directed to take marked cars (waiting behind St. Mary's Church) and drive to the Pit Stop, at Pieskowa Skala Castle.
Or a:
Eat It Up <-- DETOUR --> Roll It Out
Eat It Up: Frankenteams must travel 1.5 miles to a market and use traditional methods to each make one 3" link of Kielbasa sausage. Then, they will be served a 8' cooked Kielbasa, and each must eat 2 feet of it to get the clue.
Roll It Out: Frankenteams must travel 1.5 miles to the Jewish Quarter, find a specific bakery, and use traditional methods to roll out 20 bagels. Then, they must walk to a quarter of a mile to a particular restaurant and deliver bagels to the head waiter to get the clue.
This Detour takes place around midnight, so here's the date change marker for you:
December 8th, 2006
D/K/C/M choose Eat It Up. J/B/E/D choose Roll It Out initially*, but switch after being unable to find the bakery. When J/B/E/D finally arrive, D/K/C/M are already eating.
*Danielle: "How big is 24 inches?"
Eric: "You've seen 24 inches of meat before."
theamazingracer: "Maybe, but not on you. Those 3-inch things you made are big compared to yours."
(Strangely, that was the LEAST dirty joke I could come up with.)
Frankenteams finish:
2) J/B/E/D [Finishing order: Joe, Bill, Danielle, Eric]
3) D/K/C/M [Finishing order: Kandice, Dustin, Mirna, Charla]
Frankenteams are directed to separate (well, except for Eric/Danielle), and drive (not taxi) 20 miles to Pieskowa Skala Castle, where they arrive:
3) Dustin/Kandice
4) Charla/Mirna
5) Eric/Danielle
6) Joe/Bill
And encounter a:
ROADBLOCK
"Who wants to be a knight in shining armour?"
The chosen team member must put on a suit of armour and lead a horse half a mile down a path to the castle gate. They will then deliver the horse to a stable boy, enter the castle and search for the mat.
The chosen team member finishes:
3) Dustin
4) Charla (who gets knocked down twice by the world's most favorite horse.)
5) Bill
6) Eric
Teams ARRIVE AT THE MAT as follows:
1=) Oswald/Danny* at 9:48pm
1=) Uchenna/Joyce* at the same time
3) Dustin/Kandice at 2:52am
4) Charla/Mirna at 3:16am
6) Joe/Bill at 3:21am**
5) Eric/Danielle at 3:22am, who are essentially given a penalty-free NEL.
However, Joe/Bill are forced to wait out a thirty minute penalty for not finishing first. This pushes them into last place and they are eliminated.
*Although both Oswald/Danny and Uchenna/Joyce arrived first, Phil only gave one holiday (to St. Lucia, in the apparently-not-so-"sunny"-anymore Caribbean), which Uchenna/Joyce received.
** When on the mat, Eric/Danielle can be seen walking up behind them. Traditionally, they have re-shot it if there is more than one minute separating teams.
Season 11, Leg 7 -- TIMELINE
Money for this leg: $121.00. (Only three dollars less than the previous leg).
December 5th, 2006
Teams depart from the pit stop in Zanzibar, Tanzania (after a 36-hour Pit Stop) as follows:
4:20am - Charla/Mirna
4:28am - Oswald/Danny
7:55am - Uchenna/Joyce
8:00am - Dustin/Kandice
3:15pm - Eric/Danielle
7:01pm - Joe/Bill
They are directed to fly to Warsaw, Poland, almost 5000 miles away. Teams have been provided with tickets (through Kilimanjaro and Amsterdam), but are under no obligation to use them. Incidentally, this is the first leg this season to finish in the northern hemisphere.
Now, pay attention, 'cause unless this accidentally double posts, I'm not repeating this. [ETA: Nope, it didn't.] This Airport Shuffle is even worse than last week's.
Uchenna/Joyce walk to a nearby South African Airways office and wait for it to open. Charla/Mirna and Oswald/Danny travel together to the Holiday & Safari Travel Agency, joined before it opens by Dustin/Kandice. After it opens, the travel agent receives a phone call from Uchenna/Joyce's travel agent, and the group convinces the agent not to help them.
Dustin/Kandice get tickets first, travelling via Kilimanjaro, Addis Ababa, and Frankfurt, arriving at 9:07am the next morning.
Uchenna/Joyce get tickets next, through Dar Es Salaam, Johannesburg, and Frankfurt. From Frankfurt, they plan to take the same flight as Dustin/Kandice to Warsaw, the next morning.
Hours later, Eric/Danielle go to the same travel agent as the main group, where Charla/Mirna and Oswald/Danny are STILL waiting for tickets (I've seen episodes of Lost that moved faster. Honest to God, LOST). Eric/Danielle then head to the United Travel Agency, but are unable to get tickets better than the route provided to them.
Meanwhile, Charla/Mirna and Oswald/Danny finally get tickets to Warsaw, through Nairobi and Amsterdam, arriving at 9:22am, 15 minutes after the new leaders.
Joe/Bill depart the Pit Stop, and don't bother going to a travel agency, taking the provided flight to Kilimanjaro, arriving at 8:45pm. Both teams miss the next connection on the route (Shame on you, producers.)
December 6th, 2006
Eric/Danielle and Joe/Bill get a 6:15am flight to Frankfurt, connecting to a flight to Warsaw, which arrives at 10:40pm.
Meanwhile, Uchenna/Joyce miss their connection to Warsaw, and settle for a later flight (the one the producers had scheduled?), arriving at 11:02am.
So, to sum all that up, teams arrive in Warsaw as follows:
9:07am - Dustin/Kandice
9:22am - Charla/Mirna; Oswald/Danny
11:02am - Uchenna/Joyce
10:40pm - Eric/Danielle; Joe/Bill
As I did with the previous leg, I will complete the rest of the timeline in two groups due to chronological dating - the first four teams, and the trailing two teams - even though Uchenna/Joyce arrived in Warsaw after Dustin/Kandice had finished the entire leg.
When they arrive, teams must take a taxi to Czapski Palace and search for a pianist dressed as Frederic Chopin (Note to Kandice: The real Chopin is a rotting corpse) to get their next clue.
Teams find the pianist as follows:
1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Oswald/Danny
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Uchenna/Joyce
And receive a clue containing a:
Perfect Angle <-- DETOUR --> Perfect Pitch
Teams must choose between two tasks, each related to one of Warsaw's most famous historical figures - musical composer and cluegiver lookalike Chopin (Perfect Pitch) or X-ray inventor and Nobel Prize winner Madame Marie Curie (Perfect Angle [or Angel, if you prefer]).
Perfect Angle: Teams are directed to pick up a mannequin at the Escada Boutique (about half-a-mile away),
transport it 400 yards to the Panaramik Laboratory, and position the mannequin so that an X-ray machine can find a clue somewhere inside it.
Perfect Pitch: Teams are directed to travel three-quarters of a mile to Pilsudski Palace, choose a grand piano, and use provided tools (wedge mutes and a turning lever) to tune one key. Once they've finished tuning, a concert pianist will play a piece of Chopin's music, and will give them their next clue if the piano is correctly tuned (or near enough).
All four leading teams choose Perfect Pitch, but Charla/Mirna switch to Perfect Angle. They eventually complete their task as follows:
1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Oswald/Danny
3) Uchenna/Joyce (who accidentally went to the Chopin School of Arts)
4) Charla/Mirna (who have trouble getting assistance from the Poles. Just another reason to love Poland.)
Teams are told to find Jan II Sobieski Lazienski, a monument in Lazienski Park. They arrive:
1) Dustin/Kandice
2) Oswald/Danny
3) Charla/Mirna
4) Uchenna/Joyce
Here, they must encounter the RoadBlock for this leg, which probably involves rowing out to the Palace on the Water in Lazienski Park. Aside from Danny, who checks in at the Pit Stop wearing a life jacket, it is not known who performs the task (Although I'd bet that, based on the tally after the next leg, both Kandice and Danielle do the task as well). After completing the task, teams are directed to search the Palace grounds for the Pit Stop, on a nearby path.
Teams arrive at the Pit Stop as follows:
1) Dustin/Kandice at 10:54am, who win a trip to Puerto Rico.
2) Oswald/Danny at 1:06pm
3) Uchenna/Joyce at 2:26pm
4) Charla/Mirna at 4:50pm
Hours later, the trailing teams arrive in Warsaw and find the pianist:
5) Joe/Bill
6) Eric/Danielle
December 7th, 2006
The trailing teams finish their Detour tasks:
5) Eric/Danielle (who chose Perfect Pitch)
6) Joe/Bill (who chose Perfect Angle)
They arrive in Lazienski Park, finish the RoadBlock, and check in at the Pit Stop as follows:
5) Eric/Danielle at 1:50am (who are doing the RB as Oswald/Danny are departing on the next leg)
6) Joe/Bill at 3:32am (who check-in after the first three teams have all departed), who are Marked For Elimination.
STILL RACING:
(3) Dustin/Kandice (3)
(3) Eric/Danielle (3)
(3) Joe/Bill (2) *One Unknown RB*
(2) Oswald/Danny (4)
Season 11 (All-Stars) Timelines Empty Re: Season 11 (All-Stars) Timelines
Post  raceguy120390 Sat Jan 12, 2008 8:55 pm
Season 11, Leg 6 -- TIMELINE
Money for this leg: $124.00.
December 1st, 2006
Teams depart from the pit stop in Maputo, Mozambique, as follows:
9:07pm - Charla/Mirna
9:47pm - Dustin/Kandice
10:13pm - Teri/Ian
10:18pm - Oswald/Danny
10:32pm - Joe/Bill
10:33pm - Eric/Danielle
10:36pm - Uchenna/Joyce [who are Marked For Elimination]
Teams are directed to fly to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, about 1400 miles away.
Due to a religious holiday, almost all air travel to Dar Es Salaam is full.
Teams must travel to the airport, navigating their drivers as they did in the previous leg.
December 2nd, 2006
Teams all fly first to Johannesburg on one of two direct flights:
TM301 [dep Maputo 7am, arr Jo'burg 8am] - Charla/Mirna
SA0143 [dep Maputo 11:45am, arr Jo'burg 12:53pm] - All other teams
Once teams arrive in Johannesburg, they organise flights to Dar Es Salaam as follows:
Charla/Mirna fly direct on flight SA188, departing Jo'burg at 9:55am and arriving (32 minutes late) at 2:52pm.
The remaining teams all have standby tickets on an Air Tanzania flight, TC7909, departing at 1:15pm and arriving in Dar Es Salaam (20 minutes late) at 6:50pm.
Oswald/Danny, Uchenna/Joyce, Dustin/Kandice, and Eric/Danielle are all given tickets for this flight; however, Teri/Ian and Joe/Bill are not. Eric/Danielle are removed from the flight shortly before it departs.
There are no more flights available that day, and Eric/Danielle, Joe/Bill, and Teri/Ian are forced to wait overnight in the airport.
Once teams finally arrive in Dar Es Salaam, they are directed to take a taxi to the ferry terminal (I couldn't get a name, sorry), and pull a number for one of four dhows [hopefully you remember these from TAR5's Dubai leg] to the island of Zanzibar. Each dhow will take a maximum of two teams.
Due to "weather" delays, there are no dhows on the 2nd, so the first four teams are forced to wait overnight. Teams pull numbers as follows:
DHOW 1 (5:30am departure)
1) Charla/Mirna
2) Oswald/Danny
DHOW 2 (8:30am departure)
3) Dustin/Kandice
4) Uchenna/Joyce
December 3rd, 2006
The first two ferries depart, and take most of the day to cross to Zanzibar.
Meanwhile, back in Johannesburg, the last three teams try to get on a direct South African Airways flight departing at 9:55am. Only Eric/Danielle manage to get on (For those of you playing along at home, this is the same flight that Charla and Mirna took the day before).
Joe/Bill and Teri/Ian then fly a different route through Blantyre, Malawi, arriving in Dar Es Salaam at 5:30pm.
*****Since this is going to get REALLY confusing otherwise, from this point onwards, I'm going to recap the events as two separate groups - the first four teams (those who race on the 12/3) together, and the last three teams (those who race on 12/4) together. Lines in between placings represent the gaps between dhow groups.*****
These three teams sign up for their dhows as follows:
DHOW 3 (5pm departure)
5. Eric/Danielle
DHOW 4 (8pm departure)
6. Joe/Bill
7. Teri/Ian.
Once on Zanzibar, teams must search for a nearby kiosk to find their next clue. They arrive there:
1) Charla/Mirna
2) Oswald/Danny
-----
3) Dustin/Kandice
4) Uchenna/Joyce
And encounter a:
Solve It <-- DETOUR --> Schlep It
Solve It: Teams must walk half a mile to the Baytal Chai hotel, and put together a 62 piece jigsaw-esque puzzle, which when completed will reveal an image from a local art style called Tinga Tinga (which can also be spelled as one word), to get their next clue.
Schlep It: Teams travel one mile to Kijangwani Lumber Yard, load two 50lb logs into a local handcart, and transport the logs over a mile to a shipyard to get their next clue.
Dustin/Kandice choose Schlep It, all other teams choose Solve It, almost certainly the faster option - note that Dustin/Kandice don't catch up to Uchenna/Joyce from this point, despite being on the same dhow and 30 minutes of extra time.
Teams complete their task in the following order:
1) Oswald/Danny (who arrived at the hotel after Charla/Mirna, but finished the puzzle first)
2) Charla/Mirna
-----
3) Uchenna/Joyce
4) Dustin/Kandice
Teams are directed to go by taxi 15 miles to Kikungwi, a small village which is home to most of Zanzibar's Maasai, and search for their next clue. Teams arrive:
1) Charla/Mirna
2) Oswald/Danny (who had stopped to buy fruit)
-----
3) Uchenna/Joyce
4) Dustin/Kandice (after Uchenna/Joyce have already left)
And encounter a:
ROADBLOCK
"Who's on target?"
The chosen team member must use a traditional Maasai weapon called a "rungu" to break a clay target 65 feet away, revealing the next clue.
The chosen team member finishes:
1) Mirna
2) Danny
-----
3) Uchenna
4) Dustin
The clue directs teams to travel by taxi 15 miles to the Old Fort (also known by its Swahili name, Ngome Kongwe) in Stone Town, the Pit Stop for this leg of the race. Phil mentions in an interview that a Pit Stop in Africa was moved, referring to this leg, which is why there wasn't a sign saying "TANZANIA" or "ZANZIBAR" at the mat with Phil and the greeter. Anyway, teams arrive as follows:
1) Charla/Mirna (who each win a confuzzling [12.5-foot] catamaran) at 4:20pm
2) Oswald/Danny at 4:28pm
-----
3) Uchenna/Joyce at 7:25pm*
4) Dustin/Kandice at 8:00pm
December 4th, 2006
The three trailing teams arrive in Zanzibar, and find the kiosk:
5) Eric/Danielle
-----
6) Teri/Ian
7) Joe/Bill
All three teams choose Solve It, completing as follows:
5) Eric/Danielle
-----
6) Joe/Bill
7) Teri/Ian
They head to the RoadBlock, where the chosen team member finishes as follows:
5) Danielle
